It's Just a March Thing

The strange need for sunflowers in March has hit me once again!  I even started craving them in February.  I actually took these photos at the beginning of the month and forgot about them.  Yesterday I finally uploaded the photos from my camera and discovered these, just in time to post them almost to the day as the previous 2 years (here and here).  Weird.  They are just so darn cheerful and bring the promise of Spring to come.  A tradition I can't resist.

I couldn't resist. I borrowed my Dad's macro lens and took more sunflower shots. I so love the details!

Odd

This last week at the grocery store I saw some sunflowers and thought I just had to have them for a little spring cheer. A couple of days later I decided to snap some pictures of them because, well, I love these flowers. As I was uploading the pictures I got thinking that it must have been about a year ago that I last had sunflowers. Strangely enough, I found it was the exact same day one year earlier that I took the other pictures! It must be a March thing.
